How and where do I download helicopters for aerofly fs 2 as I saw a robin R22 on you tube for this game

When you have the actual version of Aerofly FS2 you have it automatically .

Do you have the DVD version .. or Steam ? Windows or Mac ?

So please check in STEAM ...
right click Aerofly .. properties ...
updates / beta / version ...
Then you get latest ...including helicopters

Hi I have placed a folder saying lynx7 above where you said but in the game it still says 18 aircraft but with this lynx7 it should be 19 aircraft also its not showing in aircraft section in game

best is we can look a screenshot of your folders

Assuming you have a legal copy of Aerofly FS2. It makes no sense that you have the Steam version and no helicopters show up. Yet you have all the other aircraft?
These are your only other options.
1.
Run an integrity check in Steam.
2. Completely reinstall Aerofly FS2.
3. Contact the actual Developers from IPACS.
