    Please communicate in English so that we can also edit your contributions here in the forum and when uploading files.


    On the one hand, English is also the international pilot language, on the other hand, we as admin cannot take care of Flight-Sim.org in all possible languages and characters.


    Furthermore, the search function can only be used sensibly if the language is uniform.

    FIRST ... when new uploaders upload files,

    we have to check the files manually, because there are ( most of them :( ) with "fake files" ...


    We are only 2 people to make this here and cannot work 24/7 ( and for nothing )

    ( on the contrary, we have to pay for the servers and get nearly no donations for this to pay :( )


    We've been considering for weeks how or if we should continue running the server.

    We have an enormous amount of HDD space and traffic, which requires expensive servers,

    but hardly get any donations to cover these costs.

    Every month / year we run the risk of having to pay for it privately,

    and we also have to work every day to support this server.


    So the question is whether we should continue, did it now nearly for 8 years ...

    because Michael and I also have also lives outside of the internet ...where we have to

    work and earn money for our lifes.


    We are over 5000 Users ... and only 38 ! Users this year have donate our server for a minimum of 2,- ! ! !

    Higgy: Ich kann Dir mal kurz und brutal die Lösung sagen: Uploads komplett sperren für Newcomer ohne , dass sie die von mir erwähnten erwähnten Normen erfüllen. Kein Screenshot= Spam= HAUSVERBOT!. Nix da - erst manuell kontrollieren oder was ich da eben gelesen habe! Das kann man alles abkürzen! Erweiterung meiner Forderung: Zeigt der Screenshot = MÜLL - = Hausverbot + Kopfgeld.:D Dafür würde ich spenden! :D

    Ich habe die mobil-App nicht, keine der beiden, somit kann ich den inhalt nicht checken, dazu bräuchten wir noch jemanden im Team der die AF Android App nutzt und weiss was er tut :) und mithelfen möchte.

    Ich auch nicht, aber meine Meinung ist auch nicht gleichbedeutend mit der Meinung aller Menschen :)


    Da es dort ja anscheinend Bedarf (und Umsatz) gibt, muss es wohl einigen / vielen Spass machen.

    Nur weil wir beide da keinen Bock drauf haben, muss man da ja nichts schliessen / löschen.


    Das Problem ist nur dass wir hier einen Android User benötigen der da mithelfen kann...
    ich kenne derzeit keinen der das benutzt.

    Since there's apparently a demand (and revenue) there, it must be fun for some/many people.

    Just because neither of us is interested in it doesn't mean we have to close or delete anything.

    The only problem is that we need an Android user to help out...
    I don't know anyone who uses it at the moment.

    Flight-sim.org is a privately operated platform for dedicated flight simulator users, especially the Aerofly FS simulators. Everyone may upload content created by himself for these flight simulators, if he also has the corresponding rights to the content.


    Uploading also involves a lot of information:

    - Language if possible in ENGLISH (so that it is found, for example, via the search)

    - Meaningful description of the content

    - File names always with Latin letters!


    Unfortunately, the upload for mobile devices, which is no longer assessable for us, is currently increasing. Therefore, we will now quickly deactivate contributions that cannot be rigorously estimated for us.


    Personally, I find this development very sad and unfortunate.

    Hallo zusammen.

    Ich habe nach einigen Monaten Hin und Her, nun eine Entscheidung getroffen.


    Leider ist die Bereitschaft etwas für den Server zu tun, ( sei es nun gute Dateien mit vernünftigen Screenshots und Erklärungen zu erstellen , oder zumindest mal 2 Eu zu zahlen ) oder auch nur generell im Forum Anfängern zu helfen auf ein Minimum gesunken.

    ( Von ca. 5200 Usern in den letzten 12 Monaten haben lediglich 36 User etwas gespendet ! )


    Es gibt immer nur die gleichen ca 15 aktiven User, die meist sehr viel helfen im Forum, Dateien kostenlos erstellen / hochladen , und auch noch viel spenden.

    Leider hat sich auch kein User gemeldet auf meine Anfrage nach Mithilfe in Punkto Android APP die hochgeladenen Dateien zu checken und dann frei zu geben.


    Somit wird diese Webseite / der Server spätestens zum 1.1.2026 ( wenn es keiner übernehmen wird ) gelöscht werden.

    Nicht nur meine Arbeitszeit, auch die Kosten werden längst nicht mehr getragen und ich kann und möchte nicht mehr meine (Frei)Zeit und mein Geld weiter opfern für das Projekt.


    Ich danke allen Usern die etwas erstellt und hier mitgeholfen haben die letzten 8 Jahre, und besonders Apfelflieger für die Hilfe die letzten Jahre , ebenso auch Ipacs für die Unterstützung mit bezahlten Werbebannern.


    Wer also über die technischen Kenntnisse ( und im besten Fall Erfahrung mit Internet-Servern ) hat,

    und Bock hat ... möge sich melden, dann wird das Projekt vielleicht weiterleben.

    Natürlich würde ich in der Übergangszeit ( sind ja noch 3 Monate) mithelfen es zu übergeben.

    Hello everyone.

    After several months of back and forth, I've finally made a decision.

    Unfortunately, the willingness to do anything for the server (be it creating good files including screenshots and good descriptions) or at least paying two euros) or even just generally helping newbies in the forum has dwindled to a minimum.

    (Out of approximately 5,200 users, 36 donations in the last 12 months!)

    There are always only the same 15 or so active users, who usually help a lot in the forum, create/upload files for free, and also donate a lot.

    (THANKS FOR THAT)


    Unfortunately, no user has responded to my request for help with the Android app, checking the uploaded files and then releasing them.


    This website/server will therefore be deleted by January 1, 2026 at the latest (if no one takes over).


    Not only my working hours, but also the costs are no longer covered, and I can't and don't want to continue sacrificing my (free) time and money for the project.


    I would like to thank all the users who have created something and helped here over the past eight years, and especially Apfelflieger for their help over the past few years, as well as Ipacs for their support with paid advertising banners.


    So, if anyone has the technical knowledge (and ideally experience with internet servers),

    please get in touch, and perhaps the project will survive.

    Of course, I would help hand it over during the transition period (there are still three months left).

    just to make it clear ... I want NO money, for the domain and not for the Server- Software ...
    and I will help the new Server-Admin ...we have 4 month to stay alive for the future !
