Hello everyone,
I would like to redo the shoreline of the entire French coast with Aeroscenery.
Can someone tell me how to remove this horrible strip of green sea and replace it with a beautiful blue sea?
Thank you !

You will have to hand edit the colours of the sea before processing the images to ttc files.
Thank you for your answer. But could you explain a little bit more how to do that please?
After downloading the scenery tiles from the satellite provider you will have to use a paint editor, I use the free Paint.Net which works very well. After the download of the satellite tiles and stitching them into a png file you open these images and hand edit the water areas. Not for the faint hearted as it takes many hours to do depending on the amount of sea area.
There is a step by step tutorial I made somewhere on the IPACS Forum.
Thank you again. I will read you tutorial and try to do my best !
Good luck!
I tried and it works even if the result isn't yet very good . I will improve myself.
Now the problem is the new tiles are displayed with stutters...
In flight simutation when you solve a problem another immediatly appears
If its stutters then your graphics card is not up to the job possibly? Are you running FS 2 or FS 4 and on a PC with what specs?
I am using a pc i5 5600 3.70Ghz with 3060 12 Go Graphic card and AFS4.
Normally I dont have any stutters. I am using Nice of Schnuffelduffel and it perfectly works.
What I call stutters is I have to be very close to the tiles for see them appear. Its like a slideshow...
Your PC specs are far from mine as Im using an early Egyptian model and no stutters.
I think you are taking about loading times of the tiles? When you made your scenery what levels did you make please?
Perhaps send me a picture of your AeroScenery set up page.
Thanks.
Hello ,
Yes its a problem of loading times.
I tried several levels and the result is the same. With a very low zoom the tiles no longer appear at all. I don't understand anything...I found a tutorial on the Ipacs forum but it is about Fset and not Aeroscenery.
From this tutorial I seem to understand that you are erasing the sea. Are we in agreement?
I thought I had to select the sea and paint it in blue. I am sorry if I misunderstood certain things but my english isn't very good and I am often using Google Translate.
These questions are a bit naive, I know...
When you have time can you detail step by step how to act as if you were talking to a 3 year old child
See you soon
Once again thank you for your help.
Yes I am happy to help, please send a picture of your AeroScenery set up. Thank you.
This is the set up for the largest tiles to make resolution 2 M.
Here it is
The coast lines are done here: Mise a jour Bretagne Suite nouvelle texture Le 27/10/23 - Flight-Sim.org
Yes thank you but my project is to make all french coasts lines and share them here.

In my stitch folder i have these images :
Thank you for your updates. Please try using BING as the satellite image supplier they are better quality than GE. In settings change the ones marked by orange line.
And set ALL levels marked in orange as below:
OK its done
I think you will see the images from Bing are good quality with less sea areas to edit by hand.
Good luck!
Could you explain me what should I do when editing by hand. I have to paint the sea in blue ?
Yes you must paint by hand using like me Paint.Net or another art software. Then save the image and then process the scenery to make ttc files
