I will also take this opportunity to say thank you so much to Mr. Hartman for making all those scenery files for Norway.

A great job and well done!

Thank you for your kind words. I am not finished .... :)

Thanks for the info - both technically and about your experience with your impressive moving cockpit.

If you want to install user addons in a location other than the C disk - for me - the following works smoothly (PC):

First I choose my big disk (D, E, F, etc.).

    Then I create a folder for Aerofly FS2 freeware addons: E: \ AFS2_addons \

Then I open the file "main.mcf" - located in C: \ Users \ [username] \ Documents \ Aerofly FS 2 - and type in where AFS2 can find the new folder:

    <[string8] [extra_user_folder] [e: \ AFS2_addons]>

Then I install / move the files (images, cultivaton, elevation, etc.) to their respective folders:

    E: \ AFS2_addons \ scenery

    .................................... \ scenery \ elevation (mesh)

    .................................... \ scenery \ images (contains ortho photo / google-bing, etc .)

.................................... \ scenery \ places (contains airports, cultivaton, etc.).

It's great that you've isolated the problem.

You are aware of the following warning, quote:

    NOTES!

EDIT: Project Lofoten has been developed over a period of time - which has naturally led to changes. That means:

Do not install any cultivations (and airports) from Hartman's .zip files.

Instead, use: "Extended Cultivation Addon for Hartman's Lofoten Projects 1-12" by TomSimMuc and IZ0JUB:

New Cultivation Addon for Hartman's Lofoten Project 12

Make sure you only use the airports provided by TomSimMuc and IZ0JUB:

Do you have a screenshot showing the error?

You can upload it using "Attachments" (below).

    Hi Slotman - and welcome.

Are there any errors in the actual photo of the ground - or is it terrain, buildings, forests, etc. flying in the clouds?

Do you have a screenshot showing the error?

    Here's some advice:

IPACS recommends that we do NOT place user addons in the official folder of the Aerofly FS2 (Steam folder). Because it can create clutter - and in addition, the folder structure can be changed in a later update.

For Project Lofoten use Scandinavia West 19m freeware mesh made by Taburet.

    Hi OlaHaldor - and welcome.

Glad you like the Lofoten Project. I also enjoy flying over Norway - with its special topography.

The major challenge is satisfactory photo. Often you have to use a combination from several sources. Then you have to edit the photos in Photoshop, Gimp, or similar (I use Photoshop).

    Here is an example:

    ba_01.jpg

When the photos are ready - you convert them through AeroScenery - and they are ready for Aerofly.

I hope to be able to convert acceptable photos used in X-plane (then we avoid photo editing) :

If we figure out how to use these X-plane photos - maybe we can work together?

But at the end of last year (2019) I was unfortunately injured in my right shoulder. Therefore, it takes time with the last part of the Lofoten Project. I've finished 2 tiles - and I'm still slowly getting started with the last one.

Otherwise I have been contacted by a Norwegian guy - who has already made parts of Norway. I will try to help complete these areas. :)
