...How can I delete the original terminal and add my custom model?

    There are two possibilities:

    (1) If you completely create ZBAD as an airport and also save it under "zbad" in your user directory, your airport will be loaded instead of the FS 4 airport.

    (2) If you only want to replace objects, you must place a suitable element in the position where the FS 4 object to be suppressed is located. This can be achieved with a POI that contains an underground fitting object at this position. I use, for example, helipads.

My experience is that additions of surfaces and lines on areas of existing airports lead to errors in the presentation. Therefore, in the case of missing markings on runways of automatically generated airports, these must be completely recreated, because the markings are created directly with the runway.

By the way, ZSLY has both aproaching lights and runway markings in the FS 4. Therefore, ZSLY would only have to be converted for FS Global, which I can't do.

The approach lights can be supplemented as XREF objects with the help of two text files (TSC for calling and TOC with the content) as POI. The running light can also be supplemented, but not unidirectionally.

What are the "large white spots" supposed to be?

That doesn't fit. I have just looked at various AERODROME CHARTS of Chinese airfields and also in China taxiways have letters "A", "B", etc. and with numbers "1", "2" etc. are called parking spaces.

The taxiway designations would be helpful for the correct designation of the side signs.

Because ZYDD is a civil-military airport. The shelters are used for military aircrafts

I looked at various satellite images. Many jets can be seen on these, but none in the grass-covered shelters. There are only trucks in front of the shelters.

And also the floor markings of the taxiways look outdated for the shelters and do not match the newer markings.

I have questions and hope you can answer them:

    (1) Do you have an AERODROME CHART from ZYDD? Unfortunately, I can't find any and this would be helpful for the name of the taxiways.

    (2) Are the shelters still used for the jets today? After studying various satellite images, I would rather say "no".

I myself have never worked with one of the SDKs because they are for WINDOWS computers and I have a MAC. Nevertheless, I assume that the FS 4 version of the Scenery SDK also works:

However, I don't miss the SDK, because I only work with the text files on the Mac.

I usually enter the basic points in the respective TAP file, which I then convert to the TMB, TOC, TSC and WAD files. When converting, these are then compiled, which actually only makes sense with the TMB because of the data volume. Therefore, I also use the TOC, TSC and WAD files in text form, which is possible. I now enter many things directly into the TOC and TSC files, because it is even easier for me.

    Long letter short sense:

It depends on what you are up to and whether you really need the SDK, because maybe you don't need the SDK at all.

What's next for Flight-Sim.org? Honestly, I don't know at the moment.

I'll leave the topic "download content without any own return" out for now, because everywhere in this world there are people for me who stand out negatively - but in my experience, the vast majority of people are still positive, no matter where and how they live.

I think we are currently experiencing a strong change in the use of FS 4 and FS Global.

On the one hand, there are the people who like to flyi in all its facets as close to reality as possible. I am one of them. Here it is more about quality.

And on the other hand, there are more and more people who are less concerned with simulation than with playing, where new airfields, new airfields, new liveries are in demand very quickly.

Both can fit together, but both can also interfere. Actually, there should also be a middle ground.

For myself, I will stick to the simulation and am curious how it goes on. Hopefully FS 4 and FS Global will continue to be a simulation.

    Preliminary remark:

I think it's good if we all write in English. I also think it's good if we use translation programs to help. But when translating translation programs several times, something can sometimes come out that was never meant that way. Therefore, I ask everyone for patience if something from my following text seems to be misleading - thank you.:)

I think we must not put anyone under any negative general suspicion for the time being. That's why I think it's nice that there is worldwide interest in Flight-sim.org.

Flight-Sim.org is a private initiative that lives from give and take. So if you take something (download), you should also give something (financially or/and upload something).

Unfortunately, it is becoming more and more clear that too many people only want to download as much as possible without doing anything of their own (!) to give. This is a general observation, which I personally find very unfortunate. I think we humans as a community are dependent on a balanced give and take, no matter where we live.

Many years ago I was happy that other people here offer great things for the FS, FS 2 and FS 4 and therefore I also contributed accordingly. Therefore, I also like to support higgy as an admin, write in the FAQ and upload content.

I will continue to program additions for airplanes and sceneries in the future. And I would like to make all this available to a community in the future - but only to those who appreciate it and follow the "give and take" mode.

In general, I find it sad that higgy will end his commitment at the end of the year, because the platform Flight-Sim.org has given me a lot in recent years.
